The actual sky, explained in plain language — instead of a pretty wheel nobody understands.
Most online astrology is either vague or dishonest. You get generic sun-sign writing, apps that hide the math, or language models that invent planetary positions with total confidence. The actual sky is treated as optional.
There are good open-source calculation engines. What many of them still produce is a chart full of symbols that mean very little to most people. The interesting part — what the positions actually suggest — gets lost under glyphs and layout.
AstroPi is built the other way around. It runs on my hardware, uses the Swiss Ephemeris under the GNU license, keeps the data private, and only then uses a language model to explain what was calculated. No visual chart theater, no black box, no invented positions. You get the data and plain-language explanation. If you want to dig into the details, they're there.

How it works
- Real calculations. Positions come from Swiss Ephemeris — never guessed.
- Structured data. The engine decides what is true and what it means structurally.
- Language last. The LLM only translates the real data into words you can follow.
